WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN, DUDE?

Hey peoples. So I know the last time I posted here I was all stoked to be living in Japan, and rocking my new iPhone 5 and super *HD* stop-motion app… Well, seven months later, I’m still stoked to be in Japan, but I fell off the stop-motion wagon. Reason is, that HD app was TOO HD… I couldn’t really figure out a way to make nice small GIFs with it (I’m dumb-boy), and I sort of lost patience with trying to wrangle the huge-ass time-lapse videos I made into a form that would be easy for quick and light viewing. They may show up later as a proper HD Youtube video or something… not sure yet.

I experimented with some other stop-motion apps, but none of them had the feel I wanted. I also got into Vine in a big way and post there sometimes, (look me up by my real name “Evan Hayden”), and it’s a lot of fun, but it’s not quite the same as my cruddy GIF stop-motion clips. It doesn’t replace those in my heart, rather supplements them.

…but hey GOOD NEWS!! I was somehow able to download the old iMotion app that I used to use on my old iPhone 3G, and load it onto my 5, despite it not being in the app store anymore. I can once again easily make small stop-motion GIFs, and they look a bit better thanks to the 5’s better camera, but they are not crazy huge either. I’ll be posting my first batch shortly… Hopefully this means that the blog will be properly revived :-)
